01How does the free trial work?+
Install from the Shopify App Store, approve the read-only analytics scopes, and Retrics backfills your order history. 14 days free, no credit card; billing starts only if you approve the charge on Shopify’s own confirmation screen.
02Can any plan send email or SMS from Retrics?+
No. Sending from Retrics is unavailable in this release on every plan — direct email, SMS, WhatsApp, scheduled delivery and the native Klaviyo audience handoff are all switched off in code, and no plan, upgrade, connection or setting turns them on. Every plan composes the campaign, freezes the audience, withholds the control and exports a campaign-safe CSV; you send it from the platform you already use.
03What counts as recovered revenue?+
Only orders from customers Retrics flagged and messaged — minus what they would have done anyway: the holdout’s own observed return rate where a control was held back, and the fixed ~2.7% natural-return floor where the audience was too small to carry one. The recovered-revenue figure is withheld today. The holdout is still carved and never messaged on every eligible send, so the evidence accumulates — but the comparison is being rebuilt to count only the customers a message actually reached, and Retrics won’t publish a dollar measured over anything looser. The full method is public.
04What happens if I cancel?+
Uninstall from your Shopify admin and billing stops with your current cycle — no cancellation fee. Your exports stay yours. Cancelling alone doesn't erase anything: uninstalling revokes our access and leads to Shopify's shop/redact request, which purges that installation, and deleting the whole workspace is a separate verified request with a 30-day target.
05Can I upgrade or downgrade later?+
Anytime. Shopify prorates the change on your next invoice, and downgrading keeps your ledger history, scores, and reports intact.
06Is there a contract or minimum term?+
No. Every plan is month-to-month and flat, including Concierge — you can leave any month, which is exactly why we have to keep earning the fee.
07What do the products that aren’t live yet cost?+
Nothing extra — each one is included in a tier rather than priced on its own. Sending from Retrics is unavailable in this release on every plan; Loyalty, Care and Ad Autopilot sit in Concierge, and an entitled plan unlocks anything still to ship the day it does, with no billing change. Reviews and Chat are priced at launch.
08Who is Concierge for?+
Brands that want our team in the room: custom calibration, holdout design, migration help, and a dedicated success manager. Book a call — everyone else should simply start the trial.
09How is billing handled?+
Through Shopify's billing API, as a line on the Shopify invoice you already pay. Shopify shows the exact price on its own approval screen before anything is charged.
10Why flat pricing instead of per-contact?+
Per-profile pricing charges you more precisely as you succeed — keep more customers and the bill climbs. Retrics is flat at every size: $49, $199, and $799 per month, with unlimited customers and orders on every plan. You are never billed per contact or per message — and sending from Retrics is unavailable in this release, so there is no outbound volume to meter.
11What is the difference between Growth, Scale, and Concierge?+
Growth is the complete retention engine — brief, opportunities, reorder board, win-back ladder, 130+ metrics, and audiences frozen with a withheld control for the message you write. Scale adds campaign composition, Audience AI, and the public API and webhooks. Concierge adds Loyalty, Care, Ad Autopilot, and a dedicated success manager. Sending from Retrics is unavailable in this release on all three — every plan exports a campaign-safe CSV you send from your existing platform. Every plan shares the same read-only analytics core, unlimited data, and 14 days trial.
12Is there a design-partner path?+
Yes. Ten repeat-purchase Shopify brands run Retention free for three months on their real order history, meeting with us weekly; what a holdout verifies becomes the first public case studies. It is a limited program, not a discount tier. See the design-partner program — everyone else should simply start the 14 days trial.
